Arts & Culture

Music, dance, drama, and art — a voice for every child.

Overview

The arts are woven through the Wendy year. Children sing, dance, act, paint, and perform — not as a select few on a distant stage, but as a whole school finding its confidence and creativity.

On stage

Our annual cultural programmes give every child a turn in the spotlight, from the youngest kindergarten dancers to senior performers. Preparing for these shows teaches teamwork, discipline, and the quiet pride of doing something well in front of others.

In the classroom

Art and craft are a regular part of the timetable, especially in the early and primary years, where making things with your hands is one of the best ways to learn. Our exhibitions turn everyday materials — paper, waste, colour — into a whole hall of children’s imagination.

A detailed calendar of arts programmes, houses, and competitions is being compiled with the school.
